Identifying Speakers
Once transcription is complete, an Identify Speakers button will appear next to your interview card, both in the listing view and inside the study. Clicking this button opens a panel displaying:
- The full transcript
- A list of detected speakers
Each speaker will have a Mark as Participant checkbox. This step is crucial as it tells Reveal which voices belong to participants and which belong to moderators. Marking participants correctly ensures that Reveal prioritizes participant responses while using moderator speech as context, leading to more precise analysis.
Reviewing Uploaded Transcripts
If you upload a transcript instead of a recording, click the Review Transcript link to:
- Verify transcript accuracy
- Adjust speaker names if necessary
- Preview how Reveal interprets the transcript before finalizing the import
Supporting Various Transcript Formats
Transcripts come in multiple formats, and Reveal is designed to support a wide range of them. The review step ensures proper interpretation of transcripts, regardless of formatting differences between platforms.
By following these steps, you can maximize transcription accuracy and ensure your interviews are processed effectively within Reveal.
