Merging Speakers

DoReveal comes with a best-in-class transcription service. In most cases, speaker identification works seamlessly. However, sometimes the AI may mistakenly identify the same person as two different participants. The Merge Speakers feature allows you to correct this quickly.

Step-by-Step Guide:

1. Open the Transcript Panel

Go to your study
Open the focus group or interview
Click View Transcript. This opens the right side panel.
Click Edit Speaker Tags

2. Edit Speaker Tags

You will see a list of all speakers the AI has identified
You can change their role individually to Moderator or Participant, if needed

3. Merge the Duplicate Speakers

Select the speakers you want to merge
Click Merge Selected Speakers
Click SAVE
Confirm the merge in the prompt

The system will automatically merge the speakers and regenerate the transcript accordingly.

Important Note

Time Limit: This feature is only available for one week after the interview is uploaded. If you need to merge speakers after one week, please contact DoReveal support.
