Searching Transcripts in a Study
Reveal makes it easy to explore your data by allowing you to search across all transcripts in a study using simple keywords. This feature is especially helpful when you want to quickly find what participants said about specific topics, without relying solely on AI summaries.
How to Use the Transcript Search Feature

Open the Study
Navigate to the study you want to search. You'll see the familiar Observations Grid.

Access the Search Tool
Click on the three-dot menu (⋮) in the top-right corner of the Observation Grid.

Select "Search Transcript"
From the dropdown menu, choose the "Search Transcript" option. A panel will open on the right-hand side of your screen.

Enter Your Keyword
Type the keyword or phrase you're interested in. For example, if you're studying COVID-19 and want to explore the topic of "mask," just type mask into the search bar.

View Results
The system will display a list of all interviews where the keyword appears, sorted by the number of matches.- For example, if a participant named Nicholas mentioned "mask" 10 times, his transcript will be listed at the top with 10 matches.
- You can click to view the exact excerpts from the transcripts where the keyword is mentioned.

Download Your Results (Optional)
If you want to keep a copy or analyze it further, simply click the download button. The search results will be saved as a text file for your convenience.
