Record Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Google Meet Sessions with DoReveal Bot

Benefits of Using DoReveal Bot

Start a Meeting Recording

1. A few minutes before the meeting starts, Open Your Study
2. Click Add an Interview
3. From the left-side menu, click Join Meeting.
4. Enter the Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or Google Meet meeting link.
5. Configure the Bot Name
   • Optionally customize the bot name.
   • Many teams choose a company or project name that participants will recognize.
6. Review Transcription Settings
   • Select the interview language(s) if needed.
   • Leave Number of Voices on Auto Detect unless instructed otherwise.
7. Click Join Meeting.

Admit the Bot to the Meeting

1. Open Your Meeting: Join the meeting as normal.
2. Approve the Bot: When the bot appears in the waiting room or lobby, admit it to the meeting.
3. Confirm Recording Status
   • Once admitted, the bot automatically begins recording.
   • In DoReveal, the status updates to indicate that recording is active.

During the Interview

• The bot silently observes the meeting.
• No additional actions are required.
• You can continue using DoReveal or other applications while the interview is in progress.

After the Meeting Ends

1. End the Meeting Normally
2. The bot waits briefly to ensure the meeting has truly ended.
3. The recording is automatically imported into the study.
4. DoReveal begins processing and transcribing the interview.

Best Practices

• Use DoReveal Bot to simplify interview capture and transcription.
• Verify the bot has been admitted before starting the interview.
• Review transcripts after processing to ensure accuracy.
• Keep a backup recording whenever possible.

Recommendation: Even when using DoReveal Bot, maintain your own recording of the session as a backup. This provides additional protection in the event of network interruptions or meeting platform issues.
